Established in 1977 and located in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide, Melann’s is your one-stop sewing shop for all aspects of machine sewing. We supply products and classes for machine embroiderers, quilters, dressmakers and general sewers. Steven Green, our on-site machine technician, is well trained in having your machine back to running order.

We offer a variety of machines we are confident will cater to your sewing needs and budget. Each machine comes with a free demo, free one on one lessons, free service at 12 months and honoured warranty.

History

Anne Taedevil founded Melann’s in 1977, naming the shop after herself and her daughter Melanie. For 20 years, Anne successfully built a business selling fabrics and haberdasheries loved by every visitor. In 1997, Regula and Paul Muller bought Melann’s and improved the business with additions such as machine embroidery and repairs & services.

In February 2020, Melann’s was sold to Christina Kazis, a young girl who regularly attended the Saturday dressmaking classes. This was always Christina’s vision after she graduated high school in 2015 and finished her business studies at university.
